Summer China IT Service Learning Tours, 2008 June 30, 2008 
How time flies! It seems like it was only yesterday that we came back from Gansu, and it’s now time to do our summer projects again. This summer, we will have two IT Service Learning tours to China — one to Hubei and the other to Gansu.
The Hubei tour will take place first and will leave this Saturday. 12 students will take part in this tour and our task is to run an English and IT camp for about 350 high school students in China. Our job will be done in conjunction with some volunteers from China, Hong Kong, the US and UK. Drs. Stephen Chan, Alvin Chan, Vincent Ng and Grace Ngai will accompany them on the trip. We are almost done with the content preparation and the training, but there will be a couple more sessions to go, so stay tuned for more news!
Later this summer will be the Gansu Service Learning Tour. That will comprise of about 14-15 of our students and 5 staff members. There’ll be quite a bit to get done for that and we’re still in the planning stages right now. We’ll update this blog when we have more news!
