What is COMP?
COMP stands for Community Outreach Merit Program. Its purpose is to acknowledge the efforts of our students who have been actively involved in community service. We encourage our students to serve the community by contributing their IT professional knowledge in community service.
What activties are counted towards COMP?
All-IT related community service are eligible. For example,
- teaching in summer workshops
- participate in community service tours organized by the Department of Computing
- Working in IT projects for Non-Government Organizations (NGOs)
What are our latest community service projects?
Currently, we have several community service projects in progress or planning:
- IT Activities for Special Needs Children and Refugee Children
- Lego Robot Competition organization
- Video Conference IT Traninig for Gansu’s Students
- China Service Learning Trips

1) Download the application form here, fill it in, and email it to cscomm@comp.polyu.edu.hk. Our program coordinator or Cat will get in touch with you as soon as possible. OR
